The Soleus XCS is outfitted with two Spool High-Speed bearings, which provide you with longer and smoother casts - all controlled by a fine-tuned internal centrifugal braking system. Targeting largemouth bass at a local lake, smallmouth bass in heavy current, or even peacock bass in the Amazon? This reel has you covered with 20lbs of drag!

The Soleus XCS is the big brother in our Soleus lineup. It includes all of the same great features as the Soleus but boasts a larger 105mm handle and large EVA knobs that are soft to the touch and will not slip. Along with the larger handle, it has a lighter overall weight of just 6.4 ounces. We achieved this by using duralumin components, such as the hard-anodized duralumin worm shaft - which is both lightweight and strong. 10lb or 12lb fluoro? 50lb or 65lb braid?

Grinding noise

I got several favorite reels… I like this reel,but it is brand new and makes a loud noise with every cast…. I changed the line and still get the same noise…. Hopefully I can get it adjusted to reduce the winding noise….Still a fan of favorite…..

Great reel for So Flo

Hands down my favorite reel in my collection holds up great and throws a country mile even with light bait. I’m relatively new to the bait-caster world and have tried Shimano, 13 Fishing, and others, but this reel out performs everytime. I’m not a pro by any means but I feel like it when I throw it around the lake. I use 50 pound braid on a diawa tatula 7’3 mh casting rod. From a novice, I definitely recommend this reel for a high quality starter reel. Happy fishing!

Very good reel. Every so often reel will make a whining sound and feels like the brake is engaged a little more than what’s set. Don’t know if this is normal

Review of Soleus XCS

I wanted to change over from "Made in China" reels to Made on South Korea reels so I purchased 5 Favorite USA reels and I plan to purchase more Jack Hammer and Soleus Reels. The latter reels in left hand work very nice and the ration choices are a plus.
