Good rod, bad guides

I’ve had this rod for a few weeks now, and I love how it feels. The problem I have with it is that the guides seem to fray my line beyond belief, and it’s odd since none of the other rods I own have ever done that. I’ve had to re-spool my reel about 3-4 times because it gets destroyed by the guides, and I feel that there’s a big chance that Im gonna break off a lot of fish because of it.

I don't know about this rod, I haven't fished it yet but like other rods from favorite I bought the heavy version and it acts more like a medium heavy or just a medium. For some reason favorite rods have this quality. This has been my 5th favorite rod and everything that's not a extra heavy acts one to two rod powers down from what it's rated. Like straight out of the box this rod seems very much like a medium than a heavy. Also have read many reviews saying this rod snaps to easily and that the line guides fray your line. I am worried to fish with it because when you spend any amount of money on a rod you don't want it to damage anything else let alone break on you! Again still haven't fished it so I hope it preforms well!
