Gorgeous Reel!

Seriously?!?!?? I wanted to buy one in this colorway almost 2 years ago and you could only get it in Black or red I believe, so I went with black. Regardless, the only difference with this model is the color and that means this thing is on par with all the reels and this price point AND higher! The centrifugal brakes on these reels is extremely well designed and I have never overspooled unless I hit something while casting and even then it’s never been so bad that I had to cut it out and re-spool. The braking system does make its own unique humming sound, which at first alarmed me, but there’s a little trick I use which quiets it down without changing performance in any way. Touch your sweaty nose and then run your finger on the spool race. That lubricates it just enough so it no longer makes noise.

DO NOT use oil! It’s supposed to be dry for the brakes to work as engineered. These things are phenomenal.
