Product details

The Favorite Army spinning combo has a unique design that shows off our Favorite Army pride.

Built using ultra-sensitive 24-ton Toray carbon blank materials, these Rods employ MLS (Multi-Layer Structure) technology that layers carbon of varying modulus and fiber direction to produce a reinforced construction and improved torsional load resistance. In addition, an X-shaped carbon tape wrapping along the blank provides increased durability and overall power.

The guides are made of polished stainless-steel frames with nano-lite rings to increase castability and durability. Coupled with streamlined reel seats that fit comfortably in your hand and reduced weight. This rod will keep you fishing all day.

The spinning reel is 5.2:1 gear ratio and 5 stainless steel ball bearings make this a combo that is smooth and easy to retrieve regardless of what kind of fish is coming with it.

Got another!

So...I was able to track down an Army Combo 12/5/2024 at my local tackle shop. I had a hook keeper placed on along the split grip for an extra $10. I needed the Army Combo 2-piece to bolster my travel set up. I will demote the 2000 size reel to LIGHT and UL rods in my quiver.

Best Rod Ever

I brought this combo down the Baja Peninsula, and it performed amazingly. I fished with it for four weeks, and I had no issues. The next time we go down to the Baja Peninsula, I will bring this rod. This was the perfect rod for the trip. I caught spotted bay bass, corvina, Cubera snapper, barracuda, and even roosterfish. If you want an excellent rod for freshwater or saltwater under $100, get this rod.

No hook keeper very inconvenient

This rod has been an okay rod for the price but with no hook keeper to hook my lure onto I have to put hook on the line guides on my rod. I had a rod sleeve on this rod and had to have the lure with on a line guide and the hooks on the lure got hung in the rods sleeve and ended up having to rip rod sleeve to get the hooks out.

Best crappie set up I’ve purchased.. talk about a bang for your buck! This rod has the best sensitivity out of any other rods I’ve tried, while having enough back to boat flip 12 inch crappie no problem. Looking forward to getting a 10ft rod.

Love this rod. The Reel is fine.

I demoted the 2000 size reel from this 7'MH combo to my UL and LIGHT rods. It's way too small to drive this rod. I drive the 7'MH spinning rod with a 3000 size reel. I love it for chucking large lures, Texas rigs, Carolina Rigs, punching, etc. One night, I Carolina Rigged a live shiner and tossed the bait out off the dock while my brother and I solved the world's problems. A subtle bite interrupted our diatribe. On hook set, the rod was bent to the cork and my preset drag paid out enough line to feel some headshake. I was able to get this 30lb flathead catfish in to the dock lights pretty quick and then the fight was on. I was impressed by how quickly the rod was able to tire out this capable fish. (Fish was released in to the night!) Getting another!
