Connell doesn’t use these

When the guy who’s name is on the rod won’t even use them, it speaks volumes! The Rush series is a way better value to quality rod. I have them all and haven’t had a problem with any of them in the 3 years I’ve been using them.

Overpriced

Save a little money and buy the 7’2MH Shimano Expride. It’s a better blank (Hi Power X Spiral Wrapped) more sensitive reel seat better guides and better balanced.

Save your money

I am 73-years-old and have been fishing since I can remember. I have used many different rods, from the cheapest to the best. I ordered 8 of these rods. Within a few short weeks the guide inserts were falling out. I have never had a guide insert fall out on any of the rods I have fished with. I contacted Favorite and they offered to replace all 8 rods but with the same cheap rod guides. They also wanted me to pay for the shipping to and from Favorite. The rod blanks themselves are outstanding. Well made, very light, great balance, tremendous sensitivity, cast well, and have great backbone. But what good are they with cheap guides? I decided to keep the rods and took them to a custom rod builder, Southwestern Parts in Dallas. It cost me $1,852 to have top of the line Fuji and Recoil guides put on all 8 rods (Labor was $15 per guide plus the cost of each guide $7.50. The owner, Shane Moore, a custom rod builder with 30 years experience, was very impressed with the quality of the rods and ranked them up there with his top-of-the-line Lew's rods ($600). He said for maybe $50 more Favorite could have put quality line guides on all 8 rods. In sum, great blanks, lousy guides, horrible warranty service. I can't believe Dustin Connell put his name on these. I guarantee you his Favorite rods aren't using the same cheap rod guides.

Defective products and no quality control

Broke 3 of these rods in a month, none of them lasted for more than 10 fish, One of them broke on the first hookset, and now I have to deal with a 2 week long process just to get my money back. Not even close to worth the headache.
